En Caleta Gonzalo, donde la inmensidad de la selva valdiviana se junta con el mar, se encuentra el nuevo Centro de Visitantes del PN Pumalín Douglas Tompkins, el cual será administrado por CONAF. ¡Son seis salas interactivas que celebran la belleza y valor ecológico del parque, las cuales funcionan con energía solar y que hoy abren sus puertas a los visitantes!
Su inauguración se llevó a cabo con la presencia del gobernador regional de Los Lagos, Patricio Vallespín; el delegado presidencial de la Provincia de Palena, Luis Montaña; el director nacional de Conaf, Cristián Little; la presidenta de Tompkins Conservation, Kristine McDivitt Tompkins, y la directora ejecutiva de Fundación Rewilding Chile, Carolina Morgado, entre otras autoridades y miembros de la comunidad.

Newly launched: the Visitor Center at Pumalín Douglas Tompkins National Park!
Located in Caleta Gonzalo, where the immensity of the temperate rainforest meets the sea, is the new Pumalín Douglas Tompkins National Park’s Visitor Center. Managed by the Chilean Forestry Service, the center has six interactive rooms that celebrate the beauty and ecological value of the park, which are solar powered and open their doors to visitors today!
Its inauguration took place in the presence of the regional governor of Los Lagos, Patricio Vallespín; the presidential delegate of the Province of Palena, Luis Montaña; the national director of Conaf, Cristián Little; the president of Tompkins Conservation, Kristine Tompkins, and the executive director of Fundación Rewilding Chile, Carolina Morgado, among other authorities and members of the community.
